Burgazada Island

about carrots

This is the third island among the Princes' Islands in terms of area. The island includes one hill known as the flag hill “Bayrak tepesi”.

The island is characterized by its clean atmosphere, picturesque nature adorned with pine trees, as well as its mild climate, beaches, and historical palaces after it has undergone restoration work. The island also includes a number of summer houses and chalets for artists and wealthy people, and real estate prices on the island are very high, whether it is rent or ownership.

The beautiful historical mansions on the island, in addition to the Nuzahat Street, and the “Gönül” and “Mehtap” streets located at the foot of the hill overlooking the beach, are among the most visited places on the island.

It is located on the eastern side of the island's marina, its oldest sea beach, which includes a marine lighthouse that guides ships to the island.

In front of the beach, there is a place called “KalpazanKaya”, which includes a small sea bay, which is the most visited tourist place on the island. On the eastern side is the Marta Bay, and on the northwestern side is the Aya Yorgi Monastery.

No mosque was built on the island until 1953, until the first mosque was built in 1953 on the land offered by the Istanbul municipality for this purpose.
